The occupational therapy evaluation is a detailed assessment of your child’s unique abilities, strengths, medical history, and family priorities or concerns. The plan of care, inclusive of measurable goals, is formed as a collaboration between the family, child, and therapist.
Occupational Therapy treatment sessions are one hour long and include evidenced based practice, daily documentation, goal tracking, and home exercises programs for improved carryover throughout each child's daily routine. Frequency is prescribed based on individual need.
Need strategies to problem solve through occasional concerns, IEP recommendations, or a skill check-in? Consult occupational therapy services do not require consistent, frequent therapy. They are provided on an as-needed basis, occurring at most once every two months.
